Sharp introduces 104LM/W energy-saving straight tube LED light
February 20, 2023
On June 29th, Sharp introduced a straight-tube LED lamp with a top-of-the-line energy-saving alternative to fluorescent lighting, which will be used to replace FL40 fluorescent tubes, which are mainly used in office, commercial facilities and factories. The new product uses Sharp's self-developed cooling technology and lighting technology to improve energy efficiency while extending life to 60,000 hours. There are 4 kinds of light source colors, which can also be used for indirect lighting.
This product uses the latest technology LED device to achieve a brightness of 104 lumens per watt (Lm), 4 lumens higher than the original product, with the industry's highest level of luminous efficiency. Even after 60,000 hours of use, the brightness is hardly reduced, and the beam (brightness) maintenance rate is about 95%. The original LED lighting with a life of 40,000 hours will have a beam maintenance rate of about 70% after 40,000 hours of use.
The new product light source is available in four colors: white, white, warm white and bulb. Not limited to brightness, Sharp will also offer new business lighting options, depending on the application, such as white and white as the base lighting, warm white and bulb color as indirect lighting. In addition, the cost is reduced by simplifying the internal structure of the bulb, reducing the diameter, and reducing the size of the cap portion. The new product is priced at 10,395 yen, which is about 76% of the original product.
The straight tube type LED lamp special equipment sold separately can be selected from the 4 levels of brightness, and the initial illuminance compensation and dimming function can be used to reduce the initial redundancy. The lamp power is 25W. Compared with the FL40 fluorescent tube, in addition to reducing the power consumption, it can also be differentiated by providing a variety of light source colors. Sharp will sell for business purposes that require power-saving, and the total of four models will be 30,000 per month.
