Automotive Safety System Supplier TRW Group Mexico Builds New Factory

According to PR News, the United States TRW Group plans to build a new plant in Queretaro, Mexico, to produce a series of brake system products. It is reported that the new plant covers an area of 150,000 feet and will produce hydraulic control units for a variety of electronic stability control systems. The plant will also produce brake drives including boosters and master cylinders.
It is understood that TRW Automotive Group is a supplier of automotive safety systems and one of the top 10 auto parts suppliers in the world. Headquartered in Rivonia, Michigan, USA, auto parts sales in 2003 were USD 11.3 billion, making it a Fortune 500 company in the world. The new plant of Trina's Queretaro is expected to start production at the end of the first quarter of 2012. When it reaches full production, the number of employees will be nearly 450. The plant will be dedicated to the production of electronic braking systems and brake-driven systems.
Doug DelGrosso, global vice president of the TRW brake system business, said: “The new plant will complement our existing plant in Querétaro and will be a major investment in brake system technology and production processes.”
