-40 °C illuminates the LED light to turn on the intelligent era of cold lighting

July 11, 2023
In the cold winter, adjusting the brightness of the street lights does not have to go outdoors, sitting in the monitoring center can do it; in large shopping malls, parking lots, smart phones can tell you where the toilet is, where the car is parked... these are installed by LED lighting system navigation Positioning can be done. On January 6th, the Cross-Strait Coldland Semiconductor Lighting Technology Forum launched a wide-ranging discussion on topics such as hotspots and latest achievements in cold semiconductor lighting technology research and development.

According to the Harbin Science and Technology Bureau, at present, Harbin applies 150,000 LED lamps in the fields of ice and snow, road lighting, indoor lighting, etc., with a total investment of nearly 200 million yuan, achieving an effective integration of ice and snow culture and art, characteristic architectural art and semiconductor lighting. Create a dream of a dreamy ice city and a bright city.

According to Fan Qingwei, director of the Harbin Lighting Inspection Center, the city has applied 150,000 power LED lamps around the snow and ice landscape, road lighting, indoor lighting and other fields, with a total investment of nearly 200 million yuan.

Whether LED lighting is suitable for use in low temperature weather, Harbin Lighting Testing Center conducted cold reliability tests on three cities: Mohe, Jiagedaqi and Harbin. For the first time in the forum, the results of the 12-month cold lighting test were announced. The LED lamp can still be used normally under the extreme cold weather of minus 40 degrees, which is more than 60% energy-saving than the traditional high-pressure sodium lamp. The application performance is relatively stable and the maintenance rate is low.

Intelligent street lights can remotely control which street lights are dim, and there will always be enthusiastic citizens calling to tell the electric department. In Taiwan, there is no need to bother the public. The street lamp management unit can receive a warning at the first time through a unified monitoring center. The computer immediately reports the cause of the malfunction and can realize remote control.

Ai Zuhua, technical director of Delta Group's Zhongda Dentsu (Shanghai) Co., Ltd., said that two years ago, most of the street lamps in Taiwan had installed intelligent positioning and navigation systems, and sent signals to the background server of the monitoring center in real time, enabling remote monitoring. Monitoring data collection of street lamp working status, brightness adjustment, carbon dioxide emission, etc., can also carry out remote maintenance operations to truly realize the urban smart grid.

Fan Qingwei, director of the Harbin Lighting Inspection Center, believes that if this technology is applied to a cold city like Harbin, it will not only find damaged street lamps and equipment in the first time, but also save manpower and material costs and achieve unattended operation.
